Conference 26 - Friday 11th Dec - Adult Literacy and Numeracy for the 21st Century

The theme for our 2026 conference is:

"Adult Literacy and Numeracy for the 21st Century" 

Building on the overwhelming positive feedback from last year’s discussion sessions,

the 2026 conference will feature two exciting new presentation formats:

  • Practical workshops – built around an ‘imagine’ scenario

  • Crowdsourcing workshops – collaborative sessions that tap into the collective

    expertise of participants to generate ideas and solutions.

Supporting Digital Literacy in VET and LLND settings Workshop

Presenters: Sally Hodgson and Irma Djaya (TAFE NSW)

New to Digital Literacy teaching? Have been teaching Digital Literacy for a while and want to get some tips and tricks on supporting students in VET and LLND settings?

This workshop will be presented by Sally Hodgson and Irma Djaya, two teachers who have taught digital programs in group settings, via Independent Learning Programs, and in VET Learner Support. They will provide practical insights in managing computer classes for students with different levels of digital competence, and the ever-changing world of smartphone classes.

Ideal for anyone wanting to know how to incorporate digital literacy into their existing classes or introduce specifically focused digital literacy courses.
